Ibrahim Ajami

Chief Executive Officer

Ibrahim Ajami is the Chief Executive Officer of the Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC).

Prior to assuming the leadership of ATIC, Ibrahim was Associate Director of the Acquisitions Unit of Mubadala Development Company in Abu Dhabi. With Mubadala, he executed transactions worth over USD5bn, and fulfilled key roles in a number of the organization's most significant and high-profile acquisitions.

Ibrahim has solid investment experience in the advanced technology sector. He headed Mubadala's initial acquisition of an 8.1% stake in AMD in 2007 and led the joint venture transaction between ATIC and AMD to establish GLOBALFOUNDRIES in January 2009.

Prior to joining Mubadala, Ibrahim worked for Occidental Petroleum and played a key role in the company's successful expansion in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Previously, Ibrahim has held multiple positions in Silicon Valley, most notably with Packard Bell/NEC.

Ibrahim holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Southern California, and a Bachelor's degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
